My Princess

by Anne Engelen

She knows what she wants
But she’s so insecure
She’s so much like her mom
A little miniature
She’s my little princess
Turning into a young lady
Where are the times
When she was just a baby
She worries a lot
Even about worldly problems
She’s concerned about people’s health
As if she herself the pain’s felt
She is my first personal miracle
In every sense of the word
She’s a gift from heaven sent
My prayers were heard
