I have two ghosts
who come to call-

one now cancer free,
that pals around

with a teacher,
recovered from strokes,

and still checking my spelling,
while her ghostly companion

sits on the piano bench,
and tells his funny stories

we've all heard before,
but we laugh again, and again,

in this joyous company.
Things haven't really changed,

they yet shelter me
in their love

that says, the sun still shines
on the other side of the mountain.
