caffeine being the communique of my generation
as we talk over coffee
buy one another latte
make vulnerable our feelings over coffee
make love over coffee
yes, we get laid and laid off over coffee.
generally we are pushed
because our parents had it harder
obviously the buzz wasn't strong enough.
caffeine being the one universal factor for my peers
(time also being a factor when it comes to life)
we tend to rush along
getting behind will never be acceptable: you should've had more caffeine.
they are poisoning is, letting us poison ourselves
until one day we have too many breasts
fingers where fingers don't belong
and our lips are eaten away. we only will relate through twitches
we only will have talked through muddy waters
we will only have begun the swim from shore to shore
