To be beautiful
if only in your eyes
would change me forever
for beauty is in the eye of the beholder
and I behold you
as magnificent
and perfect and everything I long to hold
and you behold me
well as me
as a girl
who doesn't act like a girl
who is rough around the edges
who is hurt
and hard
and angry
a girl you could hit
if you needed to
a girl you love
but only as a friend
because say what everyone may about her
she is a good friend.
I know how you see me
I don't know how to change that.......
