Out Of The Blue

by Anne Engelen

Out of the blue
Like a spring starts to flow
this feeling inside started to grow

It's a source of energy
So special and rare,
giving me strength and dignity
'cause you are there

You touched me in so many ways,
in such a short time
ever since, I count the days and wish you could somehow be mine

Why do you have such an impact on me?
I don't feel the same as before
It seems like I've known you forever
Could it be you I was looking for?

My nights and days are filled with dreams
of you and me together
Our own little paradise, it seems,
Could that exist forever?

My thoughts are dedicated to you
You're in my blood, you're in my veins
Am i really falling for you?
If only this feeling could remain

I have no answers to all this
Is it only in my mind?
I know for sure, it's you that I miss
I wish you could tell me what I will find

This poem really resonates with me, Anne. The first image that came to mind was an empty room, cold and dark. The impression that I am left with is opening the windows to see the room filled with bright white light, warm and soft. The room becomes so comforting and nurturing that basking in it makes you never want to leave. Your beautiful poem is filled with hopes and dreams and I suppose it's safe to say that with a positive mindset and a strong belief system, they can and will come true. pe4ce...
