Life's No Guarantee

by Shy Leigh

You can have all the plastic surgery money can buy,
But there's no guarantee
you'll be beautiful.

You can burn
all the pictures you possess,
But there's no guarantee
you'll forget the memories.

You can have sex
with everyone you want,
But there's no guarantee
anyone will make love to you.

You can shoot yourself in the head,
But there's no guarantee you'll die.

You can exist here on this earth,
But there's no guarantee you'll live.

This is so true. I do believe a lot of people merely exist but don't experience life!

Congrats on POTD Shy! This unwinds beautifully to a very important lesson. Well deserved and very glad I had a chance to read it.
