Perhaps More by Meredith C HartwellI think of you
sometimes...
during TV commercials,
hearing words that would trigger monologues,
routines you did to make me laugh,
jokes only you and I understand.
I think of you sometimes...
watching movies alone.
passing by the Outback and
not going in.
listening to your mix CDs.
I think of you sometimes...
when sports are on, and
I actually pause before
changing the channel.
when someone plays
(talks about, mentions in passing)
your favorite video game.
when the cat does something cute.
I think of you sometimes...
when I adjust my glasses.
when my pillow smells like you.
when I have to sleep alone.
I think of you sometimes...
any time I see a recruiter,
hear of war,
glimpse a uniform on a stranger
I think of you sometimes...
when I'm at work.
when I am home.
when I go out.
I think of you
sometimes...
(Perhaps more.)
