Tears For Fears ( harsh content )

by Jersey D Gibson

I lay broken on the floor again,
he apologizes to me for the 100th time.
A hand that caresses me was once a fist,
go ahead and say that 'I love you' line.

As I lay broken on the floor again,
he apologizes to me for the last time.
A smile that gives a false hope of security,
why you treat me like this, I'll never know why.

As I wait to be broken again,
go ahean and fuck for the 100th time.
When you say 'love', it means 'hate' to me,
punished when I didn't commit a crime.

As I'm about to be broken again,
you're starting to fuck me for the last time.
That cold burning look in your eyes I see,
and now it's time for me to say goodbye.

Author's Note: Yet another pain poem for me. And, can you believe, I'm an optimist at heart, too. This poem isn't about me though, this was about somebody else who will remain unnamed.
