A Tear Stains My Cheek by Jersey D GibsonValentine's Day,
just a corner away,
to the mushiest day of the year.
I'll give her a heart,
(and I hope I don't fart!)
and she'll say she loves me with a tear.
O, Valentine's Day,
Hallmark's moneymaking way,
the sum of loner's and loser's fears.
Now I have a girlfriend,
who will be there to the end,
this is the first time in (Holy Shit!) 20 years.
Now, I take that back,
I have a memory attack,
I seem to remember last Valentine.
Her name was Beth, you see,
who had as much luck as me,
so last year I decided to be kind.
Thus the story goes,
with a Valentine rose,
and with me feeling out of place.
Though it wasn't much,
a rose was a nice touch,
she soon had tears running down her face.
She gave me a hug,
and a heart string tug,
I knew I fixed a heartbreak mend.
She gave me a smile,
and we talked for a while,
and after that day, I never saw her again. 02/13/2002 Posted on 02/13/2002 Copyright © 2024 Jersey D Gibson
