Golden Beauty

by David Neubauer

For thy golden beauty, I have
Long watched, waiting in the shadows,
Hoping to catch a glimpse, catch
A glimmer of hope. But my mind
Has betrayed me, planting fears, doubts,
Denial in its wake. So please, if
You desire, just be who you are,
That golden beauty who has
..... Brought a gleam into a life of silver,
...........Tarnished by despair.

This is beautiful; so romantic, and almost medieval.

What a beautiful sentiment. I have a particular fondness for silver that reflects my humanity... easily molded, easily bent, easily tarnished and polishing can be a chore. Congratulations on POTD.This is definitely a beautifully crafted silvery showpiece.

The vision of your dreams is not the only Golden Beauty, David. This poem speaks of love in the language of the heart. Congratulations on your beautiful Poem Of The Day!
