Love Song

by Ulyss Rubey

I was lost and alone on an empty ocean,
Endlessly drifting, no love to unfurl.
Then in the mist of dying emotion,
A vision of you, my treasure, my pearl.

Your beauty is now wrapped around my world,
The warmth of your love my heart entwined,
Every color, every curve, every curl,
The image of you decorates my mind.

If by chance some day, some way i find
To tell the world how you make me feel,
I'll be duly sainted for leaving behind
Emotions mere poetry cannot reveal.

My pen will have flown on hallowed wings,
And written songs for angels to sing.
