Small Sacrifice

by Adrian Calhoun

I think today,
I will let my children,
each win a game.

No matter how hard,
it is for me to lose.
I will swallow my pride,
and do my best to let them win.

I will let them be the champions,
and share in the joy of their victories.
Gladly accepting,
and experiencing defeat.

What a wonderful sacrifice to make for your children, a truly devoted father! The maker of good memories.
