(Insert Clever Title Here) by Ryan M EvonGraceful words, sparkling smile
These a style, I possess not
Blank stare through glacier blue eyes
Secret feeling that I keep inside
That style is much more of me
I contain the power to battle
With both fist and mind til and
Past the time of my exhuastion
But to tell a her how I feel
Is the chink in my armor
Those who look may see the truth
Buried beneath the cold blue surface
A warm loving truth that is held
Deep within a prison of ice
I glance up and you catch a glimpse
Of both the warmth and cold
Trapped inside my pain made shell
Each blue eye is a window
To this frozen soul, if you

Posted by Amanda J Cobb on 05/12/03 at 02:27 AM I like this. Some very good lines: "trapped inside my pain-made shell" especially, and the lil bit about the chink in your armor. The title is somewhat ironic because it actually is a clever title - made me come read it. Anyway, good work. :) |
