Violence Solves Everything, But Resolves Nothing

by Jersey D Gibson

In fury, stricken with anger, you land the first blow, the first against you was never felt.
Now the war has begun, old hatreds and wrongs are renewed and forgotten, bloodlust and bloodshed are synonomus words in your mind.
But you keep continuing fighting, you've gotten this far, why stop now?
They are sure to give up soon.
In your head, you are still right, you are still proud, you are still winning, you still stand tall.
In reality, it is all quite the opposite.
Now that the war is over, everyone has lost, and the graves need digging, and the shattered lives repaired.
You can always point you finger at someone else, but notice it's harder to point the finger to yourself.
