Dream of Kay forgiving Michael,
In wholeness again
That paternalism might protect,
That maleness could soothe
That Father could look up from the paper.
Then the vision was less Pacinoesque,
(His cheekbones in hiding)
and she of gold-tipped hair,
long, tipped nose-
Diane, the only feminist in the "family";
Loving her diminishing maleĀ
