Grandpa's Out Wanderin' Again!

by Jersey D Gibson

Muddled wits, slow of thought,
feel the drool go past your chinny-chin-chin.
Addled mind, and a walker at hand,
getting outta the ol' folks home is where we being!
Door left open, T.V.'s off too,
no drugs to slow us down this time around.
Nurse in the can, caretaker on the phone,
over the hill and through the woods to grandma's house we're bound!

In the parking lot, sun's out high,
steal ourselves a moterized buggy to make leeway.
There's the road, a crosswalk too,
let's make good our urban escapade escape today!
Light is red, traffic is go,
the road is four lanes thick with speeding noisy cars.
Just turned green, on we go,
they won't keep us behind the retirement home bars!

Grandpa's out wanderin' again!

A little different and pretty unique. Nice read.
