Here I am, in love,
Yet I just awoke
Having dreamt, lovingly,
Of a past near-love.

I take the dream to mean that
When the heart is opened
It will reveal
The soul’s withholdings.

The heart thus opened, it shows that
Love is boundless,
Encompassing each of us, and all else,
Even as one cleaves to one’s true love.
