Redemption is not simple.
It is not a matter of one decision.
It cannot be a single process.
One is not saved by deciding she should be.
It is a series of pulls
against the gravity of the world
and the dropping of the guilt
which we carry on our backs
and chain to our feet.
It is trickery
of that which we have been
and that which we are.
It is a struggle
of defining right and wrong
in a world of conflict
between society and reason--
in a place where the mind is seen as weak.
Redemption is a product.
Product requires action.
Action requires planning.
Planning requires thought
and where there are not thoughts
there can also not be production
of any thing
not even the purity we once had
but have now lost
to the conditioning of our worlds.
There is no easy way
to earn life.
