"welcome ladies and gentlemen, today's topic: the Girl

she is young, first and foremost
self-righteous, passionate about a great many things
quick to fall in love, slow to fall out(perhaps her greatest fault)
slave to the superego

although she is gainfully employed and longs for independence,
she could terminate her employment at any given time
and with little sense of loss

very much preoccupied with her own image, she can often be seen driving herself to
complete despair
over something quite frivolous
something like the shape of her nose
or the number on her bathroom scale(which she likely worships)

the most devastating flaw in girlish structure is her flimsy system of qualitative evaluation: observe
girl A is a steadfast friend to girl B
but boy C and girl A discover a mutual attraction
suddenly A forgets B, B resents C, and B is virulently envious of A
is this not ridiculous? A proceeds then to give in to nearly any demand of C
in order to earn a value for herself - any demand including the surrender of body and mind

observe the ludicrous creature
formed by society and called girl"

the speech was followed by a considerable period of silence

one girl thought she would stand up and clap

but then thought better of it.
