Sitting In A Field Of Heather

by Lori I Wolfe

Sitting upon a field of Heather
She looks out onto the sea
Waiting for that ship a sail
Wanting to be free
The sun kisses the waves
A gental wind caressing the sky
With melodies floating in air
As the Seagulls fly
Dreams from inside of her mind
Takes her to wonderful places
Soaring her soul into a vision
Breaking the gap between the spaces
Her world sits here upon this hill
And her love is in another land
But the ties have clipped her wings
Which makes it hard to take a stand
So she sits there upon the hill
Watching the sun set into the sea
Wishing upon the star above
Praying one day to be free
