but that was all part of your fantasy...

Your heart was true at one point in these times
but now looking back it was just another one to add to your crimes..

You took that vow till death do us part
and yet you forgot to come and bring your heart..

You said you'd be my soulmate
but then you went and derailed fate...

You lied to me just to make yourself feel secure
but the truth always left me feeling so sure..

Sure, that you'd stay and be here for me
but that just turned into a faded fantasy..

Now I live with my compassion and fear
with you never around and no where near..

Those days of puppy love and butterfly kisses
where we were no longer just the Mr and the Mrs.

Where we went through hell, but now you bailed
and looking at all the promises that came and failed.

Strike down the lover and make me believe
there's nothing here but memories to retrieve..

Make me a better person through doubt and faith
with that poor exscuse of needed space..

Make me feel like Im the one who really grew
Make me get to know the person inside me I never knew..

Someone who listened to all your false words waiting for you
and someone who can now tell the difference between it being false and true.
I love myself for I'm the only one I can care for anymore
since you had to get the pen and start keeping score.
