Really kinda comfused,
I mean who wouldn't be right?
I guess what they say is true
'In wine there is wisdom'
only mine wasn't in wine,
it was in beer,
and it isn't wisdom,
it is realization,
Of what I want in life,
where I want to be,
and where I somehow wound up.
I know now,
I am in love,
but I went with the wrong one.
I chose 'safety'
over reality,
which is the most unsafe choice I've made.
If I'd only stayed
when I was asked
rather than going away,
leaving what I really wanted,
and going with another instead.
I am not appologizing,
I did nothing wrong,
I am simply lamenting my loss,
my golden opportuity,
to be happy
and I messed it up.
maybe someday It will come again,
then again,
probably not,
So I'll always live
knowing that the one that got away,
did so by my own hand.
