Traveling without moving by Manas MokshaIn your eyes I wait
comfort begins to thread
a brief moment of open accommodation
frees the long breath
the sense the self settles in exhale
receive a tear of bare friction
in trepidation apathy and retreat flood through capillary hollows
Listen
but do not understand
See
but do not perceive
Here the current flows
what is essence resides and holds light
nothing more or less
In a net of empty wind
fish admire the paper seams
that bind itÂ’s time away from water
In a hurried moment of seclusion
A rush of air
Droplets of mist catch the space surround - stick and dribble
Reminders of home fail distraction
Eyelids drop motorized and steady - a coda to encompassing
once again - light
with pursed lips - frozen
forgotten reasons drip
pattering in your tin
excavating striving from your soul
No longer waiting
for next time
or tomorrow
today
all
thoughts
flow gently
but quickly
smoothly
and silently
over
and
around
the
hands
that
keep
your actions bound
to thought alone
The journey begins within
The still photon
Soured by nothing real
Nothing less
Nothing more
Nothing far from known
When nothing but fleeting clouds
pass
and heart clasps down
on blue sky
familiar yesterday or tomorrow
Tapestry unwinds
annihilates all
to effortless
a gravitational pull towards a forever that never lasts
And the sun shines
warm
upon your back
smiling
with the wind stirred
by your creasing lips
Awake
And now
You are here
Not there
Awake again
