Traveling without moving by Manas MokshaIn your eyes I wait
just long enough
comfort begins to thread
A brief moment of anticipation
momentum taps the long breath
the narrative unravels in exhale
a tear tempts friction and
apathy sees karma expire through hollowed channels
red
Listen
but do not understand
See
but do not perceive
Here the current flows
what is essence resides and holds light
nothing more or less
In a net of empty wind
fish admire the paper seams
that bind it to the giant meniscus that fills the room
In a moment of seclusion
thoughts dry up in silence
what is that smell?
pungent, almost familiar, now distraction
Eyelids drop motorized and steady - a coda to anticipation
once again - light
with pursed lips - frozen
hurt bleeds across my chest
big drops of noise on tin spatter
spoiling opportunity for shared love - shared light
the comfort of home
the joy of familiar
the manifestation of everything yes
No longer waiting
for next time
or tomorrow
today
all
thoughts
flow gently
but quickly
smoothly
and silently
over
and
around
the
hands
that
keep
your actions bound
to thought alone
The journey begins within
The still photon
Soured by nothing real
Nothing less
Nothing more
Nothing far from known
When nothing but fleeting clouds
pass
and heart clasps down
on blue sky
familiar yesterday or tomorrow
Tapestry unwinds
annihilates all
to effortless stillness
a gravitational slingshot brings the mothership back
a forever that never lasts
And the sun shines
warm
upon your back
smiling
with the wind stirred
by your creasing lips
Awake
And now
You are here
Not there
Awake again
boundlessness dissolves all doubt
the dorje finds its bell
