Scars From a Woman by Lori I Wolfe "I am finished with you!" is what he said At first I felt so ugly, I wanted to be dead But then I studied you from a distance You'd smile at the ladies Then took them on a dance You whispered you love them Like you use to say to me But as you grew closer Fear hit then you would flee Love scares you doesn't it? Those vines that wrap around the heart Memories of your past clouds you mind Then the fear begins to start A woman of love in a circle of gold The one who left you when you needed her to hold Scars from battles Fought throughout the night From a woman you vowed never to fight A mother and a sister You thought would always be there But they left you hanging And without a care You use to be the heart beat That stood upon a stage It was all taken from you As you where put into a cage You were told that you were worthless As you fought the pain that made you helpless Your self esteem hit rock bottom Into the a pit of hell then it took you years To climb back out of your shell I see the love hate thing That battles in your mind But to lie, to hurt women Do you have to be so unkind? Not all women are the scars of your past So please stop hurting us And then tossing us into the trash
