Everybody Loves A Smile

by Ulyss Rubey

Everybody
Loves a smile,
The oldest and
The smallest child.

A treasure given
Us at birth,
To love and trust
This sign of mirth.

But there is evil
On this earth
That steals this treasure
From our birth.

They come to us
With a grin,
It's just a snare
To pull us in.

It surely is
A wicked sin,
To kill this trust
That's born within.

Everybody
Loves a smile,
The aged and the
smallest child.
