forgive me

by Rachelle Howe

(!!UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!)

hey,... i was wondering
when you smile,
do you think of me?
and when you fall asleep
do you curl like i'm there?
when you wake,
is it me you reach out for?

i was wondering
does the thought of
tangled limbs, and
endless nights
beneath the sky
make you blush?
and when the phone rings,
do butterflies form
in vain anticipation?
do you frown when
it's someone else?

hey, i was wondering...
did you mean it when you said
that it was me you wanted to claim?
do you think
you could handle it
if i let you near?

i believe it's time you finished this...i'd squeal to see it mirrored, then & now, side-by-side
a space oddity - suits & hard hats
i'm fascinated by this early stuff...
