Exhausted, spent,
I lay at last,
Betrayed by my body once again.

I tried to run,
But ran too fast,
And so, collapsed, to fall again.

I want to run,
Away from this,
These decisions which I'm forced to make.

But weary, fretted,
Lay once more,
And pray the Lord my soul to take.
