artisans, artwork, and understanding

by Rachelle Howe

forests
are made of
trees and
artwork
(that god has stretched
across a canvas)
that he now
discards.

souls
are interwoven
with pieces of another,
(like glass and frame,
for pictures to)
be formed
and, (like old toys,)
discarded.

i will never understand
how an artists
can smite the painting
for coming to life
when it was his strokes
and his vision
that started it all.
