not like this

tions
find me
everywhere
i turn
her eyes
(so envious)
pierce
when she looks past
and sees
no
thing
but tomorrow
swallowing today.
see,
the two crossroads
were too heavy
for her to bear
and
all these things
are too painful
for two souls
like ours.
keep in mind
that i speak truth
and though the lies
are all you believe and
keep in mind
that i still look over
my shoulder
and sigh
with the knowledge
that it
didn't have to be
like this.
