The truth,
the truth about me,
I am a child,
I am a Woman,
I am everything I wish I wasn't
and nothing I wish I was.
I am in love,
I am delusional.
I have hope,
and see beauty in all the world,
I am a cynic,
or so you say,
I am mean,
fine I'll give you that one.
I am a friend,
one of the few you have,
who doesn't talk about you,
who doesn't laugh at you,
who will be there
when it all comes to roost.
So call me what you will,
I know who I am,
I am I
and that is the truth.
