Another night at alone by Aaron HowardAnother night at alone
Sucked down into this travesty called home
where I show up, but I feel all alone.
Mom on the phone, dad in the television light
same exact thing, night after night.
As the electric meter ticks by.
Stars streaking across the night sky
Wondering what this life is for.
Wondering what's on the other side of that door.
What's in the homes, what's in the mind.
Water everywhere with secrets to find.
Masked innocence behind drawn shades
and on the inside the perfect-ness fades.
Another night at home.
Another night at alone.
