I'm scared to see myself this way.
I fear that I can never live the dream,
and I would be the victim of my own
self doubt in this world.

A simple dream to be someone in my
own mind, and I grow fearful each day.
I try to give myself courage, and
each day I give myself a little pep
talk about how I should feel.

Don't you see the world can not give
me the one love of my life so
I settle with the hopes of something
else besides these mortal desires of
love.
