Puppy Dog Kisses

by Rhodora M Fitzgerald

Once again, dads daily news
has been eaten, unread...
And mom's sewing basket
has tangled up thread.
The garbage is scattered,
the plant has been tipped...
and the basket of laundry
has twice now been flipped.
There's a little surprise
puddle, right by the door...
and a few smelly piles
on the laundry room floor.
My socks have "new" holes
and I'm missing a shoe...
But I'm not upset,
I'm not angry or blue...

Because puppy dog kisses
all over my face...
make up for the mess
that's all over this place.

awwww cute! yes, puppy dog kisses DO make up for the mess :) I can't wait to own one myself - just kitties at the moment, and a baby on the way :)
