Perhaps I love you too much
I was afraid this would happen
I fell too hard...too fast
I don't know why I bother sometimes
I let myself fall in love with you...
I let myself want you
I let myself need you
I let myself get sucked into that all too familiar fantasy
Of me...and you...together (Dare I say it?)
Forever...
I am trying to hold on to that fantasy...trying so hard
But even as I try, I feel it slipping from my grasp...and I find true happiness...
Just beyond my reach...
