With guidance from others
Lost in the haze,
We pick our way
Along lifes' maze-
And never find
The better track,
We only know
To not look back.

Though many choices
We must make,
The proper path
We seldom take-
Although there was
A better track,
We must go on,
And not look back.

We play lifes' game
And try to win,
But there's no score
There's just the end-
God only knows
The better track,
So play my friend,
But don't look back.

For what is life
But just a game,
The universe
Will stay the same-
Time's sand will soon
Erase our tracks,
So live and laugh,
And don't look back.
