Show Me

by Ronald A Pavellas

Please give me a glimpse of your Soul, she said
Find a way to let me inside, she said

Here's my hand, my heart and my kiss, I said
Here's everything I have to give, I said

But this doesn't show me your Soul, she said
Please open to me and show me, she said

I've talked, I've promised and given, I said
What more is there in me to show? I said

Show essence, not just words and things, she said
Show me by moving and doing, she said

--

So I built things and played hard and laughed,
And I danced and I sang as if daft

--

Ah, now I do see you in full, she said

Have I really shown you enough? I said

Stop talking so much and come here, she said

Nicely Written, I really like this poem.
