Taking Guts For Granted by Ronald A PavellasTAKING GUTS FOR GRANTED or WHY I DIDN'T LEAVE THE MOUNTAIN LODGE WITH THE HIKING GROUP TODAY
I have been taking my guts for granted I have not thought about them, in depth, for a long while I have given them only cursory acknowledgment during some fine farting
My guts are now claiming their due All blood and attention currently flow to my guts My fingers and toes are icy My large muscles are flaccid and useless My thought are focused between my navel and, well, you know
Is it something I ate? Is it altitude sickness? Is it the dreaded "flu"?
No -- I am convinced my guts need this attention And I am bound to give it to them
Nice guts, sweet guts, pretty guts Can we please be friends? I promise never to take you for granted again.
Hey -- the gang's returning! What's for dinner?
