With Winter
Work becomes the day--
Enter by sunrise,
Exit as He sets;

Reality cold,
Damp, bare, and gray;
Occupation false,
Man-light, cauldron-heat;

As walking dead,
"In" we live, away,
Unauthentic Nature--
Ersatz inside air.

Yet like cold seed
Enclosed in snow and clay,
Truth persists unceasing:
Winter tells the Spring.
