The poet paints a picture
by gracefully dipping her brush
in a swirling pool of roaming thoughts,
mystically transforming the mere word
into magical images of the intangible.

She carefully selects her words,
molding and shaping them as she fabricates
an impressionable masterpiece in your mind.
She stimulates the senses,
driving you to hear sounds that don't exist
and visualize sights of the unimaginable.

She can readily transport your thoughts
to places of her creation,
from those of reality to worlds of fantasy.
And she can seemingly grasp your inner-being
and carve your imagination,
causing you to trust in the unbelievable.
