Aubade-This Night by Ryan M EvonThe candle burnt low
She lays still on the bed
Arm draped over me
Not wanting me to get up
And break our sexual aura
But I crave Mountain Dew
As I often do
After such passionate sessions
Walking through the living room
Stark naked, swinging clumsly
Through the kitchen and into
The bathroom I wash up
Rinse in the shower to clean
My sweat, and her wetness
Off of my tired body
The water hits my back
And I cringe, stinging
Where her nails and teeth
Burrowed into my shoulder
Freeing blood to run out
Drying I open the fridge
Pop open the Dew and chug
As I hear her move about
Walking into the bedroom
She stares up at me
Illuminated by candle light
Her eyes stare distantly
Lips part and she speaks
Describing the incredible feeling
Toes on fire, electric pulses
And all the like
I lay down
And she questions me
Whether it felt good or not
I pause, moral delema
Be truthful or lie
Feel her stare at me
Have to decide
"Yeah, it felt great"
So we laid, and I lied 11/20/2001 Posted on 11/20/2001 Copyright © 2024 Ryan M Evon
