As long as you don't understand

I've searched the whole world over for you.
but now I've found you and I don't know what to do.
You speak the truth behind innocent eyes.
but I feel like I'm waiting for the real surprise.
I hope you to be different from everything I knew.
but I know deep down, this won't be true.
You'll turn out like the rest and fail the test.
break my heart with me knowing it from the start.
Sleep with me one hazy night and forget the rest.
Come in to my life and fail on that test.
So who's to know the truth before it unfolds awry
with this same sun floating up through our sky.
One world, two world apart.
when you come here and bring your heart.
So life is nice, life is grand.
just as long as you don't understand.
