Light a Fire Under Time

by John D Uzzell

Wondering what happened
To the love that went away.
So many years later,
Remembering to this day.

The time we spent
In anger, joy, and fun.
Where did it all go,
The clock still runs.

Light a fire under time,
Burn it from my mind.
The memory is so clear,
you were so kind.

We were just kids then.
Didn`t know what love was.
The fire continues,
thats all time does...

You died in `88.
Such a shock to us all.
Someone else could have gone,
but you took the fall.

Your life was so hard,
Only twenty six years went by.
Let the fire burn,
I can only wonder why...
