All Mixed Together

by Deanna M Gritsonis

I am lost
Totally without you
What is there when you don’t show me your love?
Alone with only memories.
Alone to go home to a cold family.
You complete me.
You finished me.
Then you broke off.
Like the porcelain figurine that has a broken limb.
Gluing it on does not fix the thin black crack.
The imperfection.
And what will happen?
Growth…
Common growth.
I am a young woman filled with dreams, hopes.
Filled with fear.
Filled with sex.
You left.
You left.
We left.
So let’s start over.
“Hello, my name is new.”
Blushing like a fifth grader.
Can’t remember
Can’t forget.
Who but you, the one, can see me naked?
My bare skin only tingles for you.
My heat, my thighs that no one else has seen is just for you.
But now it’s opened to the public.
To scared to say yes.
Be naked only with you.
But it’s needed.
I can’t be scared.
I can I will be myself.
But true.
It will happen.
