Chapter by Richard VinceThe Sun rises
Giving of itself to the new day
And to the world
Just like before
Her childishness pervades
It is woven into her soul
Like a bright thread in a dull pattern
And it is her brightness
As she approaches this juncture
Defining moment
Definition
The organised randomness hits her
Like an arrow of realisation
And shocks her into truth
TRUTH
Which has been a silent ally
For all her past victories
And the dawn in the realisation
And the dawn is the turning of the page
She stands in awe
At the feet of the mountain
Feeling insignificant under its heavy gaze
Yet it looks upon her with great fondness
And knows she has achieved
The turning of the page was the last great hurdle
Fear of finding the next one to be blank
Drove away the most daring suitors
And here is the girl with the child in her soul.
She bears an invisible halo
In deference to her beginning
Her beginning was the child
And the child was inside her soul
And the child was her soul
The spirit by which she lived and breathed
The spark to keep her passion burning
But it was so close that she lost sight of it
Her focus was so far ahead
That now ceased to be the present
And as she turns the page
The spark of recollection lights her way
And she reads
And her eyes are wide with wonder
And she knows that this wonder will never cease
