Into the Wall

by Adrian Calhoun

I feel it coming,
I can see oblivion just over the horizon.
Yet I cannot slowdown for a moment.

Flying down the freeway,
I can see the wall ahead.
Unable to apply the brakes, or stop,
I know the crash is coming.

In some twisted sense of morbid curiousity,
I mash harder on the accelerator.
Now heading full speed,
directly into the wall.

You know, if everybody were to be completly honest, I think that we have all felt this way at one time or another. Nice work.
