Alone He Cries

by John D Uzzell

He learns to love from your touch
Waiting for the next sight of your eyes
Later in life after years of love
He sits alone in his empty home and just cries

Coming in moments of thought
He remembers her sweet touch
Gone from his sight but embedded in his mind
The eyes of love he knows he loves so much

He just goes through the motions
Of life without her here
He tries to continue with the life he started then
But its so hard to see even when its so near

He cries alone not letting anyone see
Knowing his tears may be for naught
Remembering his faults and knowing he was wrong
He cries alone and it's all his fault
