weirdness

by William P Strucke

What a noble cause
to write of flowers and sunsets
when sadness eludes thee

pain, strife, and gonads
wrestle in harmony
spawning the cheese

bovine and hominid
laughter and satan
never shall einstein
realize the night.

stars shine in circles
creating the moonlight
that falls on my shoulder
as I pluck my guitar.
