I Love...

by Richard Vince

I love the way you greet me
The way you open your arms
And walk, smiling, towards me
And put your arms around me

I love the feel of your hair
As I run my fingers through it
Even if it's full of knots
And I get my fingers caught

I love the way you look at me
In that coy, shy way you do
When I've been looking at you too long
And you try and hide

I love the way you rest
Your head on my shoulder
And the way you feel
When I put my arm around you

I love the softness of your face
When I caress your cheek
And the way you bury your head under my arm
Whenever I try to touch your nose

I love the feeling of your hand in mine
And of your fingers curled around my hand
Because even when your hands are cold
You make me feel so warm inside

I love you, I think
But I'm too afraid to tell you
