ASTROANT

by Charles E Minshall

_______________________________

Think what it would be like to be an ant,
To climb to the top of a great tall plant
You might return as an Astroant,
Or maybe a Comrade Cosmoant.
For your spaceship a moths cocoon,
A streetlight your earth bound moon.
A spider web for your tether cord
Would keep you tied safe onboard.
A brisk breeze would work just right
For you to rocket on a weightless flight.
A small puddle in any parking lot,
Would work quite well for your landing spot.
You can see the parades for the Astroants,
If you look in the garden neath the flower plants.

hehee, aww look at the little ant parade celebration! too cute and witty! i love the attention to details of that microcosm (the ship, moon, web, puddle...), everything so proportionate
