As I lay quietly
Just before I fall asleep
Or after I wake up
I reach out
To wrap my arm around her
But she isn't there
And it makes me want to cry
Then I remember
What she has done to me
And it makes me want to scream
The rage builds in my gut
As I think of her with him
And it makes me want to destroy
Then I realize I'm free
From all of this
And it makes me want to cheer
Then I lay back down to bed
And do it all over again
